Nanjing University

Nanjing University is a prestigious, comprehensive university under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1902, it is one of China's oldest and most famous universities, ranked 3rd in China by research activity, it has the same standing in China as Harvard and Yale in the U.S. or Oxford and Cambridge in the U.K. The university's downtown, centrally-located campus is host to this program and gives easy access to any part of the city.

Summer Advantage students attend special courses offered by the Institute for International Students in a Mandarin language study program for beginners or those with a limited knowledge of the language, complemented by a Cultural Studies course taught in English, which combine to give a comprehensive introduction to Chinese language, culture, and society. Students stay on the downtown campus in university student residences.

Transcripts

Transcripts are issued by Nanjing University. One official copy of the transcript and an end-of-term grade report will be mailed free of charge to the address specified on the application form.
